Newb – How can I create a simple 1 page "coming soon" template???

    Hi, I am new to WordPress. I plan on reading up and learning over the next few weeks.

    In the meantime, I created a “coming soon” page in PSD and saved as a jpeg. How can I just create a single page template to get this static background image up for my domain while I read up and learn about WordPress over the next few weeks? I have looked everywhere and cannot find a solution for a single page template with customizable background only???

    Here is the background I created and would like to put up?

    This plugin below looks like it would be perfect but how do I make the plugin into a single page template without any foreground? I could use my image as the background/teaser/landing page…
