    Hi everyone,

    Just a newbie here, I cant seem to find a way to add custom widgets to the right sidebar of my blogsite. I’m trying to put in a poll feature, or some other widgets outside of the standard ones that are already here. Also wondering where the admin page is as it says in most directions that I need to put CSS into that page to be able to see changes but I cant find the admin page that allows me to do so. Really sorry, it seems I’m the only one who has this problem as I don’t see any topics about it.

    You can’t alter CSS without the custom CSS upgrade. If you’re reading instructions that say you have to do this, you’re reading instructions that relate to WP.org blogs, not WP.com ones; they function differently

    To put custom widgets in your sidebar, first check that the code does not contain Flash, Javascript, etc. Those are not allowed here. When you put code in a widget and it doesn’t work, that’s usually the reason. Provided the code is fine, put it in a blank Text widget, which you get by going to Design->Widgets.
