Newbie asking about rankings and the likes

Hi,all!!! I am new in the blogosphere. I just want to ask how can I improve my rankings and how can I get my blog (esoriano.wordpress.com)to be known by the world? My blog hit average about 2500 for the past couple of days but I dont see my blog yet in the fastest growing blog in wordpress. I dont even see my articles on the newly post or the hottest post. Some of the so-called fastest growing blogs I see in wordpress.com have lesser hits than my blog and yet my blog is not included. Why is this? Can anyone help make my blog know all over WP? Advance thanks!

@esoriano, the system is based on a bunch of variables that only staff know (as not to GAME the system) and there are some posts in the forum about improving your traffic. I am not sure of any off the top of my head, but a quick search of ‘improve traffic’ should bring up many that can help you ‘pimp your blog’ so to speak!
@robynware, it is best to create your own thread on this and not ‘hijack’ another thread as it is confusing to anyone trying to help out esoriano! Check out this FAQ on box.net as a way to upload your animation files as unless they are a simple ‘animated GIF’, I don’t think you can upload any animations like flash and sorts.

esoriano, that is not a WordPress.com blog as far as I can see. It will thus never show up on the WordPress.com Top Blog or Top Post pages.
If it is a blog hosted on your own webspace using WordPress.org software, you may wish to look at WordPress.org to see if they have something similar. Our rankings here are only for blogs hosted by WordPress.com, and I cannot see anything identifying your blog as one of these.

I am not a subscriber of wordpress.org, but of wordpress.com. What do you think is wrong with my site, exactly? Actually, I have Top Blog and Growing Blog link on my Incoming Link list lately. And I dont know what they mean, too.

If they’re in your incoming links as I explained in the other thread it means you’ve made it to the lists, even if you don’t see yourself there now.
I looked at your site http://www.angdatingdaan.org/ and it doesn’t appear to be a wordpress.com blog; which blog are we talking about, exactly? That site doesn’t have WordPress identifiers in the footer as all WordPress.com blogs are supposed to (unless they’re in the VIP program).

The other URL (www.angdatingdaan.org) is associated with him and is not a wrodpress.com blog. -

what do you mean, exactly by saying that i made it even if i dont see myself there now? Also, can anyone advise me on how to continue to improve my blog (esoriano.wordpress.com)? I would greatly appreciate any help I could get because I want my blog to reach a lot of people and maybe touch their lives in one way or another. Thanks.

You were complaining that you weren’t in the Top Blogs and Top Posts: then you got referrals through Top Blogs and Top Posts, so obviously you were on those lists and equally obviously you didn’t see yourself on the lists or you wouldn’t have posted the question about how to get on them, right?
