  Hi I setup a wordpress blog on my own server and my permalink structure is /%category%/%postname%/ but none of my links work. even those under archives where its grouped by year and month.

  please help.

  You need to ask over at http://wordpress.org/support/ . You are self-hosted and the software you are using is different than that here on the wordpress.com free-hosting service.
