Also, found another topic already about why it’s not coming up on Google but is there anything I can do so it does come up with them?

You are new. You cannot find your blog by searching. These things are effect and cause.

The more you blog, the higher you’ll rank in searches, and the longer you’ve blogged, the higher.

If you found another thread about coming up in searches, you’ve got a start. There are literally thousands of them in this forum. Just follow the suggestions there.

Don’t worry about searches yet you are there just very low just concentrate on the blogging the search thing will come. Not only will you be able to find yourself from searching but low and behold you will notice, wow other people found you by searching some obscure search term or other. So the main thing just keep writing content.

If you carry on writing posts like the ones I’ve just read, you’ll soon get loads of hits. People will happen upon your blog through search engines, but they’ll come back for the content.

It takes more than 2 days and 4 posts for ANY of the search engines to wake up that you are there – your blog does call up the search engines and tell them that you have written something – the problem is getting noticed in all the chatter on the internet –

I have one blog that is just for my general observations, Google does grab the content withing a few minutes now but it has taken a few months and several Posts for that to happen.

Bing has indexed your site, Google has not yet indexed you. Your robots.txt file welcomes the search engines.

Google has been slow lately. Two sites I sent live about two weeks ago just now got their first sniff by Google. Bing picked them up a few days earlier, and Yahoo still hasn’t taken a look. The sites are verified with all three and know where the sitemap is.

It can take 4-6 weeks for a site to be indexed, and it can take 6 months to gain enough search engine ranking to start showing up higher in search results for key search terms.

As auxclass says, you just need to be patient.

Just a note: I have a site that is now 3 months old and maybe 15 Posts, no more than two screens of text each Post and I just put a new Post up today and Google grabbed the content faster than I could do a search on the title (under 1 minute) I have not verified the site with Google etc.

So just keep writing and the search engines will pickup your content. If you want to know if you are being crawled, do a search on your Post title in quotes.

Smilehigh, I am having the same problem. It’s not the search engines, it’s the WordPress search itself. I searched my name on the WordPress site and I don’t come up either. All I can think…it takes a bit for us newbies to be registered :(. Anyway, it was nice to know I wasn’t the only one!
