Newbie needs a little help

  Hi, please excuse my ignorance, but I am a newbie in blogging world. Here is my issue: I created by blog with relative ease thanks to all the wonderful support information wordpress offers. I originally set the url as montaguecountyhistory.wordpress.com, but shortly afterwards realized that the Montague County Historical Commission has a website that is montaguecountyhistory.com. Feeling that these were too much alike, I changed mine to historialbytes.wordpress.com. I thought I had eleminated the first one. But when I clicked to follow a blog, it shows the first website under my name as the link. I need it to be the new one in order to steer more traffic to my blog. Thanks in advance for your help.
