Newbie Needs Help

Hi there I am new to WordPress. I have been using Blogger for the past three months and have started a new blog here and I am completely overwhelmed. This format is MUCH different than Blogger. I have spent most of the afternoon surfing and trying to find out more information, but I am really looking for a little more of a tutorial. I tried setting up the spam blocker, but could not find my “Plug In” button.
Any suggestions? I won’t even give you my link because my blog is such a mess right now.

Ok… hmm. I remember my first day at WordPress. Try going to some other wordpress websites and interact. I’m sure some of them will be friends with you. WordPress is really easy once you get the hang of it.

Do you have a blog hosted at WordPress.com, or a blog using WP software that is hosted elsewhere? The answers are different depending on which it is.

You don’t need to set up the spam blocker, it’s already working behind the scenes. There isn’t anything you need to do.
The widget is available for you to drop into your blog if you want to show off how much spam you caught that’s all.
Your blog looks nice actually. You’re doing fine!

Thanks for the support guys. The thing that I am really liking about WP is that there is a great opportunity to interact with other people who have blogs hosted here. Blogger doesn’t really have that.
To answer your question raincoaster, I have a blog hosted here. I still have my blog on Blogger until I can make a full transition.
Is there a way to transfer all of my content to this site?

I have another question. I have decided that I want to change the name of my blog and the tag line about it. How do I do that? If I can’t, how do I delete the blog and start over?

If you want to change the URL, you need to start over. But if you just want to change the title and tag line that show up you can do that in options – general on your control panel.
