newbie – PLS HELP – audio player not connecting

  hi… i need some help with my audio player – i’ve bought the space… read all the support info and thought i’d followed all instructions properly but although the audio player shows up it doesn’t seem to be able to connect to the mp3 file i uploaded – i’m not sure what i’m doing wrong…. can someone help?

  The audio player shortcode is:

  [audio URL]

  or:

  [audio=URL]

  You’ve only written the title of the mp3 instead of the complete URL (from “http…analiebe.files…” up to “mp3”).

  By the way, you didn’t need the space upgrade in order to use the audio player.

  i didn’t need to buy the space??!! but the wordpress support section said in order to upload mp3s it was necessary? – thats what i get for getting ahead of myself and missing the fine print…. story of my life

  You’re welcome.

  The Support info page was slightly misleading – now it has been corrected. You need the space upgrade to upload mp3s to your own blog. But the audio player is independent of that; it just needs the URL of an mp3: can very well be an mp3 hosted elsewhere.
