Newbie Q: How to Have My Main Navigation Menu Be on Left Instead of Top

Hi – I am brand new to WordPress.com (free version), and am using the default theme of twenty twelve. I am not writing an actual blog – Instead, I have only static webpages (for now). I wish to have my Navigation Menu be on the left side of all my webpages instead of the top and don’t know how to do this – I did a search of Support and Forums and still am not clear on the best approach. If I need to change to a different theme in order to do this, that’s ok. Any help would be appreciated!

This is your theme description > http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/twentytwelve/ As you can see that theme has only a right hand sidebar so you will have to choose another theme that has a left hand sidebar.

Thanks very much! That is exactly what I needed to know.
