Newbie referal questions

This is only my second day with this blog and i am already confused. Could someone please tell me what it means if a referer comes from hotmail.com/inbox. Does that mean someone has email alerts for a particular category that i have? Also i had other page views today that showed no referals, but they clicked on posts. So where did they come from? Nobody had been on my blog yesterday so no-one has the RSS yet. I am indexed with Bing and Google. Sorry if this seems simple questions but it puzzles me. Thanks

If you see a referrer from hotmail.com/inbox, it means someone clicked on a link in an email they received. The email could have been any email that had a link to your blog (i.e. maybe an alert, maybe a referral from a friend, maybe something else).
Sometimes referrals get blocked by sites like hiderefer.com or proxies or they could have clicked on your blog from a bookmarked link. There are a number of reasons referrers might not always get registered.

OK thank you. But nobody could have bookmarked my link, or sent it on, as no-one had been on my blog until today, and these are the ones i was questioning. Thank you anyway.
