  Hello, I have a blog, it is my first website and I am learning the ropes so to speak. the URL is https://calmbluocean.wordpress.com I would like to ask for feedback on the site of any kind please, also I would like to ask if anyone could point out how to index with google for beginner’s, I looked into it and the google Workspace site did not let me create a new account, is that necessary to have in order to index or list a site on google?

  Hi! Google will index a site (though slowly) even if you’re not registered with Google Search Console; we typically find it can take between 6-8 weeks to do so. If you did wish to re-try registering with Google Search Console then we do have a guide for how to get started with site verification services.

  In terms of feedback, I see you have an ‘About’ page, but it doesn’t look like you’ve filled it out yet – it might be nice to have a quick introduction about yourself for your readers!

  I also see you have a page called ‘Blog’, but right now your blog posts are appearing as the first thing people see when they go to https://calmbluocean.wordpress.com/. Did you want to have something different as your ‘front’ page, and have your blog posts appear at https://calmbluocean.wordpress.com/blog/ instead?

  If so, we do have a guides to help you get started with both:

  • Custom blog page

  Perhaps you’d also like to have a custom address to replace the basic free address calmbluocean.wordpress.com for your site? If so, it can be worth considering purchasing a domain! Domains are registered on a yearly basis, and are a separate purchase from your monthly Personal plan. If you’d want to search for an available domain to register (for example, something like calmbluocean.blog) you can find the search here:
