Newbie to WP.com, want to go historic

  Well I have this site ready to tweak and start, but one thing is holding me back, and that is I need to place historic events into the timeline, is that possible to post ‘past dated’ content/entries? Or some sort of workaround maybe?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  yes you can back date Posts – not sure how many years back you can go

  you can also have a Page that has the Posts listed in the order you want with links to each Post –

  I will flag this for the staff in case you want to go back centuries – they should be able to give you an answer as to how far back – seems this question was ask before

  Thanks, I only need to go back months, say around maybe max of 6 months to cover my sin of not doing this sooner.

  6 Months is not an issue –

  in the box with Save Draft / Publish – you have the ability to change the date for a Post – generally it is used to change the date into the future for a scheduled Post to appear automatically say next week – but the same feature can be used to move the date into the past – change the date BEFORE clicking the publish button as the date is part of the URL
