Newbie Walkthroughs

I was just reading a thread where the new wp.com blogger had just registered, there’s not even a post on their blog yet and they are asking how to change the theme.
I realise that we can point them at the FAQ, but if you look at the a href=”http://faq.wordpress.com/tag/themes/”>tag link there’s not really a great deal of information aimed at the newbie. Also linked in the FAQ is a link that says New Here that just links to a few resources. Just note that I am NOT looking to replace the FAQ!
So, what’s my idea? Create a walkthrough BLOG for new users. It would be static content in pages with a homepage index. Quick links on the sidebar to resources and screenshots and simple step by step instructions on how to do the simple things at .com.
Now, I am willing to set it up and configure it (that’s the easy bit!) but I would like some help fleshing the pages out and that’s where you guys come in.
I have a name in mind, but I am not the most regular user of the .com. I would like some help to flesh the pages out and give the details of how things can be done.
Is anybody interested in giving me a hand?

No. Overcommitted. But serious props. This is something that would be seriously important in the WordPress.com world.

Sulz: So did I. I have b0rked my blog so many times it’s unbelievable. The only thing I haven’t managed to do yet is kill the database, but only because it scares the bejeezus out of me!
I take regular backups so that if it does all go pear-shaped then I can just restore it. Of course, this is my hosted blog, not the (dead) ones here at wp.com. :)
