Newest Blog Posts on the Home Page

    Hello, I have just written another blog post, and I’ve set the home page to always show the ‘Most Recent Post’ however it is still showing the older one. Please advise on how or why it is not showing the most recent posts.

    Hi There-

    Here is something that might help:

    Basically blogs show posts in a reverse chronological order. The link above shows a workaround.

    Howdy,

    The theme that you’re using, i.e, “Wanderer” allows you to have featured categories. When you create a category and mark it as featured, the post which is set to be in that category will be displayed in the main banner on the front page. To remove it from the banner, you need to put it in some other category or unmark the category as “Featured” altogether.     Hey seekingsilva,

    I see exactly what you are talking about but cannot find a solution. I setup a test site so I could play around with it, but could not replicate how it is on your site. At first, I thought it was indeed the featured tag, but that didn’t seem to work. I then thought it might be a sticky post, but that also did not work.

    I will add the modlook tag so someone from staff will take a look and provide insight. I am just as confused as you.

    Looking forward to figuring this one out with you!

    @seekingsilva you figured it out? If so, I will remove the modlook from this post. What was going on with the 6/30 post?

    yes please, that would be great.
    I essentially hadn’t realised that there was a specific way you could change the order of the blog posts on the front page by clicking the Status section of the Post Settings – and essentially changing it when a new one is up to stick to the Home Page as the main banner. Obviously, as I am horrendous with these things. Thanks for your help and kindness though, much appreciated.
