Newest images are not zoomable

My newest image uploads don’t zoom to full size when you click on them or show the alternate text when you hover the cursor over them. Is this because I changed themes? Older images from last year still work properly in the new theme.

I withdraw my question. I had to upgrade to premium to post a video, and the zoom feature promptly started working.

Until today. Now it’s back to the way it was before. The cursor doesn’t change to the link version, and no alternate text appears when you hover over the picture. This is urgent: my blog depends on high-resolution aerial photographs.

Solved. I had to edit each image through the old WP Admin tools to set the Link attribute to Media File. I don’t remember having to do that last year. The other thing was purely my fault- I needed to enter my info in the Image Attribution field, not the Alternative Text field.

Yes, I hope WordPress retains the old WP admin tools or include this feature in the new WP Admin. It is essential.
