Newly added image links not working, internal server error.

  Upon uploading a new image to the media library, the image thumbnail works and I can edit the image without issues. When I try and view the image with it’s URL location, I get an internal server error. When I click on the image in the library, the image does not show and I get the broken image icon. I have flushed the cache in the browsers, IE/Firefox/Chrome and none of them work. Could this be a database bug when adding new images in correlation with the image’s URL?
