Newly Linked words in my blog with popup windows

why are there links to words in my blog that bring popup ads? I am REALLY annoyed by them. And what’s with the new ads at the top of my wordpress dashboard and website??????

Why do you assume they are bring placed by WordPress.com? In fact WordPress.com does not use text enhance or text link ads or pop-up ads or links in comments. If you are seeing those then that’s a browser-ad-on issue, or in some cases, it’s embedded into free games downloaded from the internet. Let’s see. Because I have not used this computer for a week, I never download games or other addons, and both the ads and the hyperlinks appeared just today. Therefore, I assumed they were linked.
The ads on the top of the page have never appeared on my pages nor my dashboard before. Why now? That’s what I want to know. I read the information when I signed up–I don’t appreciate your assumption that I am foolish or cannot read. :-(. It is just that they are new, annoying, and both ce on the same day.
Thanks for the link, although it does imply ignorance on my part. I am trying the clearing of cache etc. it did not work.
Do you have some useful suggestions?
FYI: the ad at the top of the page indicates “ad not by this site’. So of course I would like solutions, not admonitions.

Indeed and “ad not by this site” means they are not placed there by WordPress.com.

The solution seems to be that you may find it best to look at your blog using a different browser. Firefox doesn
t seem to do annoying things like that, though Ill admit I`m not an expert, nor a staff member.I know that you are upset that all is not as you would like, but it seems that you accidentally typed a response or two that came out a little irritated. I know that this was, of course, unintentional, but perhaps you should be more cautious the next time you write so that those who are trying to help you feel inclined to continue doing so.

Indeed you are right. I wish I could remove my pissy response. :-(. I spent two hours following the recommendations and the only thing that worked was using a blocker suggested on the blog. On a good note , it got rid of the nasty ads on yahoo. :-)
