Newly registered website on WP not working

    I purchased a domain and a hosting from Go daddy yesterday, and immediately launched the website, and started building it up. After an hour of break when i opened the the dashboard again the website page did not open, instead the page displayed HTTP ERROR 500.

    It is a .COM domain, and is still not working, and its a little weird because even if its due to time lag due to propagation of DNS, I guess it still should not take more than 24 hours. Can some one tell me how to trouble shoot the issue?

    It appears that your website uses the self-hosted version of WordPress rather than WordPress.com, which is what this forum is designed to help with. Note the difference here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    Sending your URL would allow us to confirm this.

    You may be able to find help here: https://wordpress.org/support/ or alternatively contact your hosting provider.
