Newly released post editor

  From the newly released post editor, what’s the easiest way to get back to my dashboard so I can edit a different post? I would use the new editor if I could figure out an easy way to get back to the dashboard.

  The old editor keeps the dashboard open on the left.

  Also, how do get from my dashboard (list of existing posts) to the new editor without first having to open a post in the old editor and then switching?

  Hi Marie,

  Moving between the new editor and the /wp-admin/ dashboard is kinda tough right now. We’re soon rolling out a lot of new changes that will be easier to reach from the new editor.

  So at the moment, there is no quick way to move from the new editor to your dashboard other than typing/bookmarking your dashboard URL directly:

  http://mmaaggnnaa.wordpress.com/wp-admin/

  However, if you’re in your Dashboard, and want to go to the new editor, just click the new post button in your admin bar:

  

  That will open up the new editor unless you’ve recently clicked the “Switch to Classic Editor” button and opted out.

  Hi, Alex –

  Thanks for the info! I thought maybe I was just missing something. I do like the new editor and I look forward to when I can switch back and forth between the new editor and the dashboard easily.
