Newsletter Followers No
-
Hi
Regarding the Newsletter followers No that appears in the bottom right side, I’d like to remove “Join 29 other followers” asap.
Please help me to sort it out as we are in a hurry
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m not seeing this anywhere on your http://lovebyn.com/ site. Have you fixed it? Or am I just having one of those mornings?
-
Hi Rootjosh
scroll down and then at the bottom right side, there is a button called “Follow” hit it, you’ll find “Join 32 other followers”
-
My apologies. You must mean this:
That is the follow button for readers that are not registered WordPress.com members (or are not logged in). You can turn it off by logging into your WordPress.com site’s dashboard and going to Settings–>Reading and unchecking the “Show follow button to logged out users.” box under “Follower Settings”.
Let me know if you have any trouble.

Hi Rootjosh
I went through your suggestion, but found if I did that I’ll remove the follow button while I’d like to keep it and remove “Join 33 other followers” that appears if you click on Follow
So please advise!

I’m sorry to say that it’s either keep the whole thing or remove it. There isn’t a way to remove the specific follower number.

One more thing, we want the newsletter email sign up box to appear for ppl entering from any type of mobile device. Is there a pop up window plug in we can download?
So please advise!

What option can i do to have a newsletter sign up box that ppl can see from any mobile device? I want ppl who enter from a mobile device to have the option to sign up to the newsletter. Do i have to add it to the menu and if so whats the plugin or how do i proceed?

So I am a little confused about what you are asking. There is no mobile feature like the little black bar on the right hand side you were asking about earlier. However, on the left hand side in all views (mobile or regular) there is a “follow blog via email” box that allows viewers to enter their email address and be notified of new posts.
It looks like this:
If you are a logged in WordPress.com user, it will be a “follow” button instead of a box, as the system already knows your email address.
-
My problem is that the “follow blog via email box” is nt visible from an iphone and maybe even from other mobile devices. How do i make it visible? From my iphone theres only the menu tab on the top left and then you keep scrollig down to older posts. Thats about it.

I solved the follow box issue. Thank you.
I have one other issue to solve please:
Regarding my head banner picture and the top menu. The tabs on the top menu appeared inside my header picture. Thats why i made part of the picture itself a white line so the menu buttons appear on the white line. Im sure theres another solution for this?
Basically i want the top menu to appear on top of the header picture and not in it in the top. I hope i’m clear. If you check my mobile version now you will aee what i mean as the entire menu is still inside my header picture.

So, this sort of thing can be adjusted with the Custom Design upgrade:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/
You would use some CSS along these lines:
@media (max-width: 770px) { .has-header-image .menu-top-menu { position: relative; } } -
if i change my theme will my previous posts automatically be downloaded to my new theme?
Also can i use the newsletter sign up box and the social media icons on any theme in the homepage? -
Themes can be changed without affecting any of your content. Some themes have different layouts that may change the look of something that you previously had. For example, if you had sidebar content and you chose a theme that did not have a sidebar design, the content that appeared on your sidebar previously would no longer appear. But it would not be deleted, it just wouldn’t display.

can I use the newsletter sign up box and the social media icons on any theme in the homepage?
-
if I like a theme and would like to check it’s backend features and how does it work, can I have a demo?
-
You can see a demo of the theme in the “Themes” section of your dashboard. You can also request a refund for up to 30 days after theme purchase.

Two questions for inquiry:
1. Is there any way i can change my header picture so that it consists of featured posts flashing or scrolling left to right?
2. If i upgrade my theme will ot solve te problem of the menu bar appearing inside the header picture when entered from an iphone?

You need to look for a theme with a “featured slider”. Which is the name of that sort of scrolling header image.

The only sure way to make that not happen is to use the CSS code below. However, a Fixed Width theme may also solve the issue. The only way to know would be to test it out.
