Newsletter plugin mail list vs subscriber list

I have just set-up the newsletter functionality on my site. Can someone tell me what the difference is between the news letter subscriber list and the site subscriber list. I have a very small list of site subscribers, that I was going to combine with the newsletter list (to be imported from Drip), and expected that the site list would automatically be part of the newsletter list.

Going forward will I still have a separate site subscriber and newsletter subscriber list? I’d much rather not and just have one list of people who have subscribed.

Am I maybe better off just disabling the newsletter and import my existing newsletter list (from Drip) into wordpress as subscribers. I currently write a blog post in WordPress, then cut and paste that into a Drip newsletter format and I am wanting to remove this double handling.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hello,

It’s great to hear that you’ve set up the newsletter functionality on your site! The difference between the newsletter subscriber list and the site subscriber list is that the site subscriber list consists of users who have subscribed to receive updates from your website, while the newsletter subscriber list consists of users who have specifically opted in to receive your newsletters.

If you import your newsletter list from Drip, it will be separate from your site subscribers. However, going forward, you can have a single list of subscribers by using a third-party email marketing service that integrates with WordPress. By doing so, all subscribers, website and newsletter, will be part of one list.

Regarding your handling of blog posts and newsletters, using a plugin or service that automates the process of sending newsletters based on your blog posts may streamline this process for you, eliminating the need for manual copying and pasting.

If you’d like recommendations for email marketing integration or plugins to streamline your newsletter process, feel free to share more about your preferences and needs so we can provide more tailored recommendations.
