Newsticker for the Blogroll
-
Hi everybody!
I hope you are doing fine :-)
Is there a possibility to add a newsticker to my blog, which shows the newest posts of the blogs from my blogroll? I searched in the forums, but couldn’t find anything about that thema.

Hi. :)
You can use the RSS feed of those blogs and display them using the RSS widget. This might help you a bit more:

oh, but, there it says that I can’t use more than 9 feeds on the rss-widget, but I would need much more… Is there no other possibility?
-
What do you mean by a news sticker?
Why do you need more that 9 rss feeds?
What exactly are you trying to achive? -

Is this your blog? http://bliblablog.wordpress.com/
If so, it appears to be completely empty so I’m wondering if these questions are in reference to a wordpress.com blog or not. -
Not as far as I know, sorry.
However depending on how many blogs there are and how often they update you could use Google Reader, add their RSS feed there and use that feed to display them combined on your blog. But that really depends on how many new posts a day we’re talking about. -
timethief, my blog is plappermaul.wordpress.com, I have quite a big blogroll…
anyway we are talking about up to 10 news a day or so, but I’ll have a look at google reader then. Thank you all! -
10 a day should work. You can have up to 10 updates in one RSS widget, so if you combine them all in Google Reader, then take the ‘reading list’ and use it in a widget..
Hope that works. :)
