    I understand the principles of altering these, but am sure that the actual coding varies from theme to theme.
    Because I want to put a left-hand vertical line down the sidebar, to separate the two more clearly, I need to reduce it – but not necessarily widen the contents. This depends on expert opinion …
    tsp? ds? Any of you geniuses, please?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi, add the following to your CSS. You can make the border wider if you wish, but you will need to decrease the width in #sidebar-wide by the same amount you increase the border width.

    #sidebar-wide {
        border-left: 1px solid #000000;
        width: 305px;
    }

    .widget {
        margin-left: 20px;
    }

    Oh, BRILLIANT – you’ve done it all!
    One small extra thing, then, please? – how do I alter the color of that margin line to #515162?
    I altered it within your code, but it hasn’t made any difference.
    Sorry to appear ungrateful !

    And while you’re there, O Hatted Wonder, can you also tell me, please, how I center the Freshly Pressed circle?
    I’m probably being as moronic as usual …

    To change the color of the border line, replace the #000000 in the sidebar-wide rule with #515162. The thing is, #515162 is a very dark color and at only 1px wide, it appears as if it has not changed. Change it temporarily to #CC0000 and you will see what I mean.

    For the freshly pressed image, open that text widget and replace the code you have with the following.

    <a title="Featured on Freshly Pressed" href="http://discover.wordpress.com/"><img width="150px" height="150px" style="border:none !important; box-shadow: none;" class="aligncenter" src="http://s0.wp.com/i/badges/freshly-pressed-circle.png?m=1345187675g"></a>

    Ah! So once more I’ve been fooled by size. Happened to me much earlier re font sizes, and now in terms of color.
    I’ll try to remember this re anything potentially relevant in future.
    I’m very grateful to you, m’dear – thanks HEAPS!
    And for the centring of the FP icon, of course.

    Erhmm … how do I access the html code of the FP round widget, please, tsp? I can’t via Widgets …

    Yay! I see you found the text widget with the Freshly Pressed code in it and the logo is now centered.

    Vell, dullink … as it was quite impossible to access the html of the existing widget, I simply made a new one using the code you provided, adding the header and footer and centring it.
    It all seems fine, eh wot?
    Thanks muchly, as always!
