Newsy: menu pages under-running sidebar
-
Rich, when you have time on Tuesday … or whenever …
I’ve just realized that the short pages from my menu are under-running the sidebar.
Look at, say, Re Awards, and you’ll see what I mean.
Do you know why this would occur ? – but much more importantly, what magical CSS can you find to fix this, please ?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Ah, my fault. It is the position: absolute that is doing that. Find the #sidebar-wide rule in your CSS and replace with the following.
#sidebar-wide { float: right; position: relative; right: 20px; width: 270px; }You will see a slight gap at the bottom of the sidebar in the vertical line, and I don’t think there is anything I can do about that.

Marvellous. Perfect. THANK YOU, Rich !
But, alas … that ‘scrollbar’ problem still exists on the CS monthly photo page and also the TDP dropdown items.
I believe you said you had something else to think about re that ?
Could be imagining it.

I don’t see the following code I had given you in the other thread anywhere in your custom CSS. Add it at the bottom and I think it will take care of the issue in Chrome for you.
#content { padding-bottom: 39px; } -
Honestly, Rich ! – I don’t understand why you can’t keep track of my endless, endless requests, just because I post them in different threads, here and there, kind of dotted about like a treasure hunt (but not very !) …
[grin]
You are a truly good soul. It worked like a charm (of course). As to why it wasn’t there … I have no idea. I thought I always rushed INSTANTLY to do your bidding; but I must have been distracted from doing dame on that occasion. Apologies, mate !
And thanks. THANKS !!! -
Perhaps you put it in and didn’t save. Who knows. The important thing is its in and working.
