Newsy: removing older and newer from bottom of pages
-
One of the things I really love about this theme is the array of little round page numbers enabling readers to choose to browse between them.
And because I like them so much, the addition of the standard ‘older’ and ‘newer posts’ irritates me …
Is it allowed by the designers to remove these with CSS, please? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Having realised I don’t know how to delete lines of CSS, I’ve browsed extensively without success.
I would be grateful for input regarding CSS deletion, please. -
I don’t know how either, but there are some very sharp folks that help in the CSS forum. They check the forum on a regular basis, I would expect one of them to help you a bit later today

Hi, add the following to get rid of next/previous at the bottom of the main posts page on Newsy.
.nav-next, .nav-previous { display: none; } -
!
As reliable as ever … what else?
Tell me, tsp: is the ‘display: none;’ the way to get rid of any CSS command (following whatever it is, of course)?
And while you ponder that, allow me to extend a hand of gratitude … Put it there, my man! [grin] -
TSP smiles and reaches out to shake hand. :)
Most times display: none; is the way to go, but at other times, it might be best to leave it there but make it invisible, so to speak, using visibility: hidden; . And then again, sometimes it could be best to set the color to (effectively) none by using rgba(0, 0, 0, 0) which is fully transparent black.
Now there is a head twister. How can black be fully transparent? I’m not sure but it may have to do with quarks or neutrinos. Or burritos. :)

That is terrifically helpful, and this thread now added to my favourites. Oh, sorry – favorites. :-
I never knew burritos were black.
[M.R. ducks a flying one …]
Siriusly, tsp – thanks from the heart. Now pop off and solve the other one, OK?
