Nexgen Gallery Pro upgrade shuts down my site

For the second time Nextgen Gallery upgrade has crashed my site. The first time ‘Chris’ from the support team did a fix and brought the site back to life but Nexgen still doesn’t work. When I try to upgrade according to the instructions, the site crashed again. Where is Chris when I need him?

WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.
