Next and Previous Posts related by Category

  ‘Previous and Next Posts’ related by category is a must! I followed your suggestion to set-up pages based on categories: https://en.support.wordpress.com/category-pages/

  I did this so that I could publish my videos to the Videos page and publish my podcasts to the Podcasts page.

  Now when I publish a video to the Videos page, below that video post is a link to the next and previous posts, which may link to a post on the Podcast page. However, podcasts and videos are not related! Why would I want the site visitor who is looking at video posts to all of a sudden be brought to a podcast post if he or she clicks on the next or previous post buttons below the post they are reading? Or conversely, why would I want a site visitor that is reading my podcasts posts to be brought to a video post when he or she clicks on the next and previous posts option below the post they are reading?

  Again, I followed the WordPress suggestion on how to set-up pages based on categories and I’m so disappointed that the next and previous posts buttons below each post are not based on or related by category. You’d think this would be a common sense approach…

  Idea for WordPress.com! Im sure its been suggested before, many times even! Now it might be the time to get around to implementing such an idea!
