Next page not appearing on home page
-
The next page and previous page buttons are missing from the bottom of my blog home. They were there when I started the blog, but now they have vanished! They appear when I go into the editor function, but they are not there when I visit the site as a guest. The Livro theme is free, could that be a factor? Help please!

Hey there @clarepackard, that’s odd. I have a sneaking suspicion it could be related to a template that seems a bit broken. Would you mind using the three dots menu to clear customization on the Archives template here? You can view it first if you’d like to see what I mean.

Hey Supernovia, thanks for replying! I’ve cleared the customisation, but the next page buttons are still not showing.

Great news! Upon closer inspection of the theme settings, I’ve identified the issue.

. Currently, the “Posts Per Page” setting is configured to display 5 posts, but since you only have 4 blog posts, there isn’t another page to navigate to. As a result, the previous/next page items won’t appear until you publish more than 5 posts.
To address this, you can either publish more content to exceed the 5-post threshold, or if you prefer, you can adjust the “Posts Per Page” setting to display fewer posts. You can make this adjustment by navigating to Editor -> Templates -> Blog Home.
I hope this information helps, and please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions or if there’s anything else I can assist you with!

Ah, I’m glad that was it! I didn’t think to check your number of posts so I’m glad my colleague did. And I think the customization for that page was also broken anyway — I just couldn’t figure out how it was affecting the front page. But that will mean your archives page should work well going forward, too. Cheers!
