next steps – my domain name was not mapped correctly at point of purchase?

    Hello,
    Although I paid for domain mapping and an email to confirm purchase of a .com URL an error message appeared following purchase on the wordpress.com form stating that the domain name could not be mapped to my blog at this time and the support team would be looking into it.
    Is it likely wordpress support will be in touch or are there other options I could try to map the domain at this point?
