Nginx locked out my website
-
Hi there,
So I’m working on a client’s website, and everything was working fine until today, where all his website has been blocked by nginx. After a few research online, I fount out that Nginx was a website creator or something, mostly used by ubuntu users.
I don’t recall installing anything like that, I’m no dev, but now all the website pages (except for home page) display 404 not found and I cannot access the admin dashboard as well.
Does anyone has any idea how to fix that ? How to remove Nginx without having any access to admin ? the website is cachalot.fr
Thank you

Hi there,
The website ‘cachalot.fr‘ you’ve posted is using the open-source WordPress.org and hosted with Scaleway and this forum is for the hosted WordPress.com platform.
These two are very similar, but very different things.

Hey @jeanpaff,
Seems like a problem with your configuration or the content of the website was removed or moved somewhere as it’s showing .
You will have to check your nginx.conf and check it out if it’s set up properly.
I believe you are hosted with ScaleWay. Please try to contact them regarding this issue for support as this forum is only for WordPress.com managed hosting. I hope this was helpful. :)

Hi, sorry about posting in the wrong forum, and thank you for the help anyway !
I will post my query in the forum you provided !
(No idea what nginx.conf is, I do not use Nginx at all, and did not install it anywhere)

No worries. I’m sure the support team of your host will guide you through the process. Good luck!
