Real shame that I cannot use my nigerian visa card to purchase a blog! I cannot believe a country as big as Nigeria is being excluded very short sighted

It is a shame, but WordPress.com isn’t to blame. You can look at these previous threads on the problem of payments from Nigeria.

PayPal handles the payments for WordPress.COM – and PayPal has had enough trouble with fraud in Nigeria and a few other countries to exclude those countries from doing business – there are a few other ways of payment – if you look through the threads maybe you can find one that will work for you
