Nishita Theme: Custom background not working & Deleting the "home" button
-
Hi! I’ve recently changed my theme to the Nishita theme and I have 2 problems i hope you guys can help me with.
1. How do I get rid of the “home” button in the header? I have a sidebar where i have an “about me” so it’s really unnecessary.
2. I uploaded an custom background but it’s not showing up. I’ve tried logging out and clearing my cache and cookies but still no background.
Thank you all in advanced :)
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

1. Create a blank custom menu with nothing in it and assign it to the primary menu location.
2. You have copied the entire CSS stylesheet and pasted it into the CSS edit window. That leads to problems like this, here at wordpress.com. Delete everything from the CSS edit window and then put into the window ONLY the specific selectors, and only the specific declarations that you are changing and your changes will override the original stylesheet. right now a background “none” is in your stylesheet is overriding the one you have uploaded.

One useful thing with the HOME button on any theme is that if a user arrvies at some random page from, say, a few months ago then the home button takes them to your most recent post. (ok you can have calendar/archvie widgets as well i know)
whereas the aboutme thing does not in itself hepl your users navigate around posts
