I am trying to change the number of posts that will appear on my home page and my blog feed, page wise. I have seen so many tutorials all of them talk about the reading section and how to change the numbers there. But it’s not working, please help.

Hi there,
The solution is to go to the Editor of the Blog page under My Sites > Pages > Blog, select the Blog Posts Block, then turn the Number of items appropriately in Display Settings, on the right sidebar.
Support doc:

Hi there, Just to confirm, you tried changing the number of visible posts under Settings>Writing>Content types and then Blog Posts display X per page?
Or was it at Settings>Reading>Blog pages show at most X posts?
(In either place, they should reflect the same number of posts regardless of where you set it.)
After setting the number, did you click the Save Changes button?

Hi,
I can see you are using the Russell Theme.
You can change here
You can click on Edit post. and change items per page on it.Regards

@poulamikarjee I hope one of the solutions presented above will assist. If you have other questions about this, please post back here and we’ll be happy to help you further.
Hello again, @shwetharmaiya I understand you’re referring to staff-mckluskey’s reply in the related thread at https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/noob-here-cant-fix-of-posts-displayed-per-page-tried-settings-reading/#post-3825698
But here, too, using the Russell theme on a different test site, I was able to change the number of visible posts following the support guide you linked to earlier https://wordpress.com/support/settings/writing-settings/#content-types without needing to change the Query Loop in the Site Editor itself. That is why I inquired as to how the user made their changes. :) Thanks.

Hi y’all.
From what I can see, @poulamikarjee has a static homepage that displays posts using the Query Loop block. The number of posts on the page can be adjusted in the block settings, as mentioned above.
There’s more information here.
@poulamikarjee, let us know if that helps. -
Yes I tried this, changed numbers in both the reading and writing sections, didn’t work. Saved changes in both, didn’t work
-
I don’t see those options on your screenshot on my screen when I select any block. @shwetharmaiya
-
I cannot find anything particular that says ‘blog’, I can only see write a ‘blog option’ in my dashboard.
Under my site there is no editor option too.
-
I cannot see that option mentioned in the screenshot, it does not appear.

Thank you for your responses but I am still unable to fix the number of blogs I want to appear on my home page and blog feed page. I have 7 of them in total but I want to restrain the numbers not able to do that.
Will changing the theme help if nothing else. please suggest one also if that is the case.

Hi,
I am not able to upload video.
But
Edit Site -> List View (Shift + Alt + O ) will give you all the blocks in your site.
Go to Query Loop and change the items per pageHope it helps.
In any further queries, do let me know.Regards

Yes, I was able to find it and altered the number of posts but when I did save the changes and refreshed my page, the changes did not reflect on my webpage :(
