No access–hack?

    Hey team,

I just took over editorship of a college film journal whose site is hosted at doubleexposurejournal.com. I was in the Admin page trying to figure out how to change the page that currently holds the URL doubleexposurejournal.com/blog to having the URL doubleexposurejournal.com (and the page that currently holds the latter to something else), but I suppose that’s all ancillary to the fact that at some point, I came up with a 404 page.

Now I can’t even log into WP-Admin–it gives me that 404 page, and I’m getting the ol’ familiar red triangle which when clicked says that “This site cannot be accessed” and that I must disconnect, something I don’t want to do without knowing what that might entail. The site loads very shoddily now–no pictures, everything looking all weird. This is very scary, as this site has been up a few years and it would be an awful awful loss not to get everything back. Please trust me.

Also potentially of interest: our site, which gets minimal viewers, has 300-something hits from like 30 users in Croatia. This is completely inexplicable, and I noticed it before I had even done anything on the admin page. Could this be a hack? I would love any help I could get.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That site at http://doubleexposurejournal.com/ is not hosted by WordPress.COM. You are posting to the wrong support forum.

WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.
    Resetting your WordPress.ORG password http://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password
WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_P

Hey, thanks. I had thought for sure that in my case it was the other way around. Mods and whatnot feel free to delete this…
