NO access through URL.
-
I cannot access my blog from the URL. This morning it worked and now it does not.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
Is this the blog in question?
http://terryheldalacarte.wordpress.com/If it is then the login link is http://terryheldalacarte.wordpress.com/wp-admin/
You must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard.
Clicking this link should display all your blogs registered under the same username, including the hidden ones: https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs&show=hidden
If you do not see the blog here http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/ then
follow this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#my-blogs-dashboard-visibilityIf you have lost your log-in information you can visit https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
and if required click the “Need More Help” link and complete the form for account recovery. -
Further to timethief’s message, I can confirm that I am able to access your blog via the URL, so it is public-facing. Your own login access is provided in the above message, however.

OK, I cannot log into my site: http://terryheldalacarte.wordpress.com/
It comes up “namecheap default”, the entity I bought the domain name from.
I must be doing something wrong because last night I could access the site but this morning not.
Can you help me get past this problem? Thanks. -
Did you have a domain mapping upgrade and allow it to expire?
If so then what is the URL of the domain? -
Although terryheldalacarte.com has been registered, it is not using WordPress.com nameservers. In order to map to a domain one must have an underlying .wordpress.com subdomain blog to map from http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/ and the domain name you desire must be available for purchase, or you must already own it.
After you have registered a .wordpress.com blog you log in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog and purchase a domain name by purchasing an annually renewable domain mapping upgrade for the blog from the blog’s dashboard at > Store > My Upgrades.
See here for mapping an existing domain that you already own http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades is where you do the primary blog set up knowing it can take between 24 – 72 hours for domain name propagation to take place throughout the internet. You can view the DNS changes here > http://www.whatsmydns.net/ What’s important during that stage is to be patient.

OK, it still will not allow me to access my blog. What have I done wrong?
On my dashboard: “The primary domain for your blog is terryheldalacarte.com. The other URLs above will redirect to that domain.” My other URL is terryheldalacarte.wordpress.com and it states “it never expires.”

That seems normal so I don’t know why this is happening. It’s time to tag this thread for Staff to investigate. Please subscribe to this thread so you are notified when they reply.
-
Ok, thanks for the reply. I look forward to getting this fixed. I have a new blog with posts that I can’t access and likely no one else can either.
-
Hello. I am following up to see if there is answer to my dilemma of not being able to access my blog.
-
Hi Terry,
I’m sorry but Support Staff have a considerable backlog of threads tagged for their attention.Staff work through all forum threads tagged for their attention and through all email support tickets in order of datestamps and timestamps – first posted first served, as would be expected.
Don’t bump your thread again because it’s not in your best interest to post to it after it has been tagged for Staff help. When bloggers keep bumping any thread thinking they are going to get service from Staff more quickly they aren’t thinking straight because that moves the timestamps forward and it takes longer to get a response. The same is true if you email more than once the date moves forward and it takes longer to get help.
Bottom line: Patience is virtue.

Hello,
I have not heard from anyone yet on how to access my blog site. It has been a week ago that I started. When can I expect to see this corrected? The last message “patience is a virtue” gives me no expectation of when someone will address the issue. I would appreciate some assistance.
Thanks -
Hello,
Could you give me a status update on when I will be able to access my blog?
Thanks. -
Two points
1) your name servers are still set wrong and not pointing to WordPress.COM (as noted above) that is the first thing that needs to be corrected: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
2) You were at the very top of the list to be helped, there are extra staff working the backlog off, however since you bumped the thread you are now second from the bottom in line for help
-
How did I bump the thread? A penalty for my inquiry? So how many more days before someone can attend to a fix?
No status update when requested on 03/08?
So now what? -
Support requests for staff help are generally worked from oldest to newest, so each post in a thread resets the time mark to “newest” Once a thread is flagged for staff attention the best thing to do is just wait, and as someone that both helps in the forum and had threads of mine flagged for staff help, it is very hard to wait but that is what is required
-
I don’t believe I “bumped the thread” but then I may not understand that terminology.
How long a wait this time? I have been waiting 8-9 days already.
