No access to dashboard

  I recently deleted my old blog and I thought I started a new blog, in that I entered a name and a new blog address. However, when I sign into Word Press, the name of my new blog does not appear in the upper left corner. Thus, I have no way of getting to the dashboard. My name does appear in the upper right corner, so I am able gain access to my account page. But that’s it. No other access to my blog. I have gone through the help topics and can’t find anything to address this. There’s plenty of information on setting up your account, but it all assumes you have access to your dashboard and, as previously stated, I have none. I am really, really confused!
