no access to my site and my website is down

  I recently let go of the person managing my website. I now have to access to my account and my website is down. The login and password that was given to me and once worked now does not. This ex-website guy will not answer my emails. How do I recover my website? I do not have any of the ‘proof’ of authentification that I am being asked for, and wordpress does not have humans I can speak to. I need help and cannot seem to find help.
