No access to our blog, and restore deleted blog.

    Hi,
I have a blog hosted with you http://sussexcampers.wordpress.com/ and I don’t seem to be able to post to it. I have the admin bar at the top of the page, and I can click ‘New Post’ which opens a slide down window at the top, but whatever I do I get a response of ‘unknown_blog’ when I publish. I don’t have access to the standard back-end wordpress interface for the site either, which is odd.
Please note, another issue which I’m facing is that I don’t seem to have sussexcampers.wordpress.com listed as one of my blogs…so the blog URL option below is wrong, because I don’t seem to have access to it, even though I have the admin bar visible on the blog when I’m logged in…(and not when I’m logged out).

Secondly, on another point, I registered a blog last week http://sussexcampervans.wordpress.com/ which I deleted because I realized that we had http://sussexcampers.wordpress.com/ already. However we would like to have both if possible, there was no content on the blog so I don’t need a restore or anything complicated like that as there’s no blog content, only when I try to re-register it, it says the site has been deleted…which I would assume makes should make it available to be registered again?

If you could help me with these issues I would be very grateful.

    Thanks

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you deleted it, then it’s gone for good. There are three warnings all of which say deletion is permanent and irreversible, plus an email confirmation. I will flag this for staff in case they feel like working a miracle for you, but I wouldn’t count on it.

If you deleted http://sussexcampervans.wordpress.com/ then it is gone forever, and can never be restored or used again.

    sussexcampervans.wordpress.com is no longer available.

The authors have deleted this site.

    Thanks guys,
    Figured it out now!
We had a different login for different blogs… not sure why when you can have multiple blogs on one site, but hey ho! At least we’ve got access to sussexcampers again!

What is with the deleted sites though? What happens if someone else wants to register that ‘blog’? I know ‘gone is gone’ as you say. But deleting something (say a letter saved in a word document) doesn’t mean you can’t write a new letter and save it with the same file name as the deleted letter had!

Anyway…I’m not going to cry over it, we have access to the main site we came here to get! :-)

Lesson learned, don’t register multiple blog sites with multiple email addresses and promptly forget which address got used.
The main reason for that ‘auxclass’ is that the login page is for the whole of wordpress.com (try it and see) go to the link you gave me and use your details to login… tada, you’re logged in to your blog (not ours!) :-)

Anyway, I found out how to discover the admin email address, post a comment on the site and see which email address it comes through to! (obviously this only works within a company, or if you have lots of personal addresses) At least then you can reset the password and change the email address so that you can remember it next time!

You can have more than on blog on an address.

If your account is not linked to the blog you want, go into the blog and add the account (user) that is not on that blog as a user

And yes leaving a comment on a blog to find an address is a tool I use several times a week to help people in the forum (only works however if comments are set to moderate, which triggers an email to the email address of record for the blog)
