No Account Verification Email

  Account verification email has not arrived. I’ve been waiting for over 8 hrs. have checked my social and spam folders in Gmail. Nothing. How long should I have to wait to receive it? What can I do to chase it up?

  Hi Jacqui,

  Your recent email address change requests aren’t being sent verification emails because your account was never initially verified when you set it up 11 months ago.

  Can you search back to emails from that long ago and see if the verification link is there?

  Hi Alex,
  I did that. Found the original email. Click the button.
  It takes me to a page which says in tiny writing: invalid activation key.
  What should I try to get up and running?

  Just sent you an email. Please check your inboxes for a message from support at wordpress.com.

  Reply there and we’ll get it handled, just make sure to keep that old email with the invalid verification code in your archives. :)
