No activation e-mail received after creation of wordpress.org account

    Hello,

    I just created an account on https://wordpress.org in order to create a blog.

    In my account settings, the email address is hosted  @free.fr, this address works well in other uses.
    In order to complete the creation of the WP account, I must confirm my e-mail address with an activation email.

    I requested several time that this activation email be sent, but it never reached my inbox even in my spam box.

    Do you have any ideas on what might get stuck? Can you manually activate my account ?

    Hi there!

    Just to clarify things, there are three different versions of “WordPress” that you should be aware of:

    1. The free, open-source WordPress software which powers your website.
    2. WordPress.org which is the open-source project that works on the WordPress software and where you can get the software for free to use on your own hosting provider.
    3. WordPress.com which is a managed hosting provider of the WordPress software and with whom you’re contacting now.

    We don’t have any control or access to WordPress.org, so if you need assistance or support related to it, you should contact WordPress.org directly.

    I hope this clears up any confusion!
