No add categories on the fly box

    I’ve read the faqs and searched the forums and I keep finding references that say I should have an add categories box on my write page, but I don’t, just the categories I’ve added in the Manage page with checkboxes. Neither my wp.com nor my hosted wp blogs do, in fact. Is that a plug in or a widget or something?

    No, if you have the column with the categories visible in the Write page, but no small typing box on top to input your new categories, that’s an issue (one we’ve had before, but not one there’s been a resolution for). Clear your cache and reload just to make sure it’s not your computer, and if that still doesn’t work, try this workaround:

    Post as per normal, then Edit the post; the Category Add box should be visible in the Edit screen.
