  How do I get the advertised £20 no ads upgrade?

  Because your username account was registered after September 1st, 2014 you purchase a premium bundle of upgrades that contains the no-ads upgrades. You cannot purchase it separately.

  You must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard and purchase upgrades at > Store > My Upgrades
