No Ads upgrade
-
Hi,
I am building this WordPress.com site for a client whom wishes to have the advertising removed. With my WordPress.com site I can pay a $30 per year No Ads upgrade but I can’t find this option with her website. It seems she must pay for the Premium package.
Is the No Ads only upgrade no longer available?
Thanking you in anticipation. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That’s correct, you have to get a complete Premium or Business plan in order to remove the ads from your page.

I believe (not entirely sure) that new(er) sites don’t have the individual no-ads option.

If an account was opened after Sept 1, 2014 it is special and subject to the new Cable TV bundle buy a bunch of stuff you don’t really want or need pricing plan
buy the upgrade with your older account (as admin for the new blog in question), then transfer the No Ads Upgrade to the newer account at some later date – sorry that is the only way to save some money – welcome to the new WordPress.COM!!
The change was not popular and many of us argued against the change but lost

Thank you all for your speedy replies.
Oh what a shame :(.
I was thinking about doing as auxclass suggests so glad to know it is sensible way forward.
Once a no-ads only add-on is associated with the account, can it be renewed on an annual basis? -

The staff have said yes since it would be renewing an existing upgrade

HI, Further to the above, I purchased the No-Ads upgrade with my account and transferred the blog across to my client. However, I now cannot transfer the upgrade to the original blog belonging to my client.
Is this something I should be able to do? -
Hi Ruth! Just noting that I replied to your other thread here:

Please keep all further correspondence in that thread to prevent confusion!
