No Ads Upgrade

I have been around and around with support about the No Ads Upgrade. It ticks me off that wordpress wants me to pay a $30.00 fee for an upgrade so no ads appear on my blog. My issues with it are simple to understand.

1- I paid for my domain, therefore my blog is not a free blog. I have paid other fees for video posting etc.

2- Since I have paid for my own domain for 3 years, I should be the one to decide if and when ads appear on my blog. Not some person at their office who has no understanding of what my blog is about.

3- to try to charge someone so no ads appear after they have been paying for their own domain for 3 years is a sleazy business practice worthy of a corporation like ATT or a Cable company.

    Hi there,

I completely understand your frustration that you feel like you are being “nickel and dimed” to death for the various upgrades to your site. We have actually had ads on our blogs for quite a while, but we’ve always taken care to make them as unobtrusive as possible so that very few visitors see them, allowing a great experience for you and still letting us pay some of our bills!

To solve this problem though, I’d like to propose the following solution: You’ve got all of your items coming up for expiration here in a couple of months. If you renew them all it will be $98.

How about if I substitute your upgrades with our Value Bundle, which includes not only everything you’ve purchased, but quite a bit more (including our NoAds product), and costs $99? I’ll set it to expire on the exact same day as your other products would have, so you’ll just pay the same amount + $1.

More information about everything that comes with the Value Bundle can be found right here:

Would this solution work for you? Let me know and I can get started on it!
