No Ads Upgrade – Available by Account or by Site?

So I’m a bit confused (some would say no surprise). Starting up a new blog (my fourth with WordPress). On the older ones (at least five years old), I have the No Ads upgrade. On the new one, I went to add that as an upgrade (Ads do not go with the vibe of the site) and couldn’t find it as an option.

Jumped over here to support and found an entry that suggested “newer accounts” did not have access to the No Ads upgrade independently of purchasing one of the plans (Cheapest of which is $99), but that accounts existing before September 2014 would have access.

That doesn’t seem to be the case for me. The upgrade availability seems to be dependent on the site creation date (after 09/14) not the admin account creation date (way way before 09/14).

    Am I missing something?

    Hi there,

Did you manage to find and purchase the No Ads upgrade?

If not, try going to your new site’s WP Classic Admin Dashboard>Store>Store and you should see the No Ads upgrade as a standalone upgrade.

Let us know how that goes.

Worked like a charm! Thank you for the pointer.
