No Ads Upgrade not available in Store

What if I just want the $30 dollar “No Ads” upgrade, and not the whole $99 upgrade? I tried to buy the $30 upgrade on the site, but it just sent me to the premium upgrade, and I don’t need all the other features included in the premium upgrade.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m afraid that since the beginning of September (I’m not sure of the exact date) a number of the individual upgrades have been bundled in to the premium plan and are not available separately – including No Ads. Are you seeing the No Ads listed for the original price somewhere? I’m not sure all the documentation has been updated yet so pointing out where the errors are will stop other people running into the same confusion as you.

Your account is one day old – that means you need to buy the Cable TV pricing Up-sell bundle to get the no ads upgrade – you are not eligible for the old $30.-/yr price. Many of us lobbied against the new pricing model and we lost – sorry

Sept 1, 2014 was the cutoff date – the staff have been sanitizing the documents to eliminate the reference to the stand along No Ads – if you had an older account you could buy the individual upgrade – – if you have a real trustworthy friend with an older account the workaround would be to transfer your blog to their old account and have them purchase the single upgrade for you and you pay them back – but that has some risks because you loose ownership of your blog – then at some point in the future they could transfer your blog back to you – so they would need to be very honest

Thanks for the speedy replies! I have wasted a lot of time trying to figure out the conflicting information I find from Google search results, within WordPress help pages/forums, etc. A word of explanation on the Store page would be helpful, with a reference to the date that individual upgrades were discontinued.

Here’s a link to the page that pops up when I click Settings > Ad Control > and choose the link to “No Ads Upgrade.”
    http://store.wordpress.com/premium-upgrades/no-ads/
I then click the “Get Rid of Ads” button and with no explanation, the bundled plan options show up, nothing more.

Sorry – I think the new Cable TV bundle up-sell is a very bad policy – you probably don’t need the 10gb space upgrade on day one, if you wanted the Video Press you would have gotten it – I have stopped recommending WordPress.com since the new up-sell policy – now when I am ask, the people get a long disclaimer on the new pricing
