NO AUTHOR TAG?

  I understand that certain plugins and customization features aren’t available for the free wordpress.com blogs. However, it’s surprising that an “author tag” isn’t a default feature across all word press given themes. Instead of the optional self-addition of “By (Author name)” in your post, I really think an author tag should be embedded on all posts by default. 1) It credits the author, 2) provides a link to that unique authors page/other posts.

  Please specify if this is a theme issue, technical issue, or an issue affected by the free word press host, and what might be or can be done.
