No body_class() in default theme
-
Since WP 2.8 there should be classified body and page tags.
But I cannot detect any trace of them in Kubrick (default) which I try to customize via CSS purchase.
What am I missing?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m confused as to where you are looking, but they are the first two sections in the original CSS.

Thanx for the effort, but I am not looking for the selectors as clearly stated by my previous posting.
I quote from documentation to be extra clear:
“Beginning in WordPress 2.8, themes will be able to take advantage of the body_class() function to place location-specific classes on the opening <body> tag, usually located in the header.php file of most themes”
I am looking for these classes but cannot find any trace of them neither in the default theme Kubrick, nor in Cutline, both hosted on WP.com with upgrade for editing of CSS. -
You’re CLEARLY confusing wordpress.COM with wordpress.ORG. What happens at wordpress.ORG, and with the wordpress.ORG software CLEARLY has absolutely nothing to do with wordpress.COM.
The Kubrick theme used here is NOT the same as the Kubrick theme that comes with the wordpress.ORG software, and that theme would not even work here. The themes here are sanitized and modified to work with the special version of wordpress MU software used here.

You want to be able to
take advantage of the body_class() function to place location-specific classes on the opening <body> tag, usually located in the header.php file of most themes
then self-host a blog.

@thesacredpath
Classified bodies and pages have been in available on wp.com for a long time, just look at famous Sandbox theme. This beeing so and the feature having been implemented in release of WP 2.8 made me look for it in default Kubrick.
Moreover the docu pertaining to CSS paid upgrade on wp.com does not state anywhere that themes here are only crippled versions of what is available at wp.org as you imply, and also it is not my experience.
So I stil wonder what’s going on.
Also, please keep in mind when you post answers that many happy but bewildered users of wp.com and/or wp.org, and that includes me, are not native speakers of English like you.
So do not shout on us when we use an adjective in ways contrary to you sensibility of someone born in the USA. How many natural languages are you able to write in? -
http://support.wordpress.com/themes/editing-themes/ This is what can be done with WordPress.COM themes.
There are maybe two users knowledgeable in CSS who regularly volunteer their skill here in the User-to-User support forums. thesacredpath is one of them. Just sayin’…
