No child pages option with Edin theme
-
Hi, I’m trying to set up a page using Edin’s grid page layout. But when I create new pages that I want to make child pages, there is no option in the “page attributes” box to designate them thus. I have another blog which I am running using the Typo theme, and I have the option of parent/child in the attributes box there. Why is this not an option in this instance?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It appears to be a design choice. Eden replaces the typical generational page attributes options with template options.
In this case, I think you’ll have to use acustom menu to construct the page relationships you seek.

Thanks for the suggestion. I am trying, however, to hold Edin to the design elements it promises. In their description page, https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/edin/ the designers describe how this feature can be used:
The Grid Page Template displays all child pages of the page in a grid format. You might use this for your case studies or services page, for example.
Underneath it is a picture of the page with a featured image, a short description, and then three columns of child pages, each denoted with a square-shaped thumbnail.
I like this look – I’d like to make use of it on one page in particular as a sensible way of sorting information. But it’s not apparent to me how to do it.

I am trying to use the Grid Page template in the Edin theme as well, but, as you said, there are no options for setting the parent and child pages. Is there anyway to make this issue known to WordPress so it can be resolved?
