No Christmas Surprise on WP.com Blogs?
-
I was totally expecting to wake this morning to find some kind of surprise on my Dashboard and WP.com blog — what gives?!
Seriously though, I moved my site here last October and couldn’t be happier with the features, ease of use and great community of fellow bloggers — kudos to you all!
But next Christmas, can I please wake up to some java snowflakes on my site?
;-)

give them a break, yeah, for xmas? =)
besides, most people won’t be checking their blogs on xmas day actually because they’ll be busy with the festivities, although you and i and others are not like that.

I’m havin a hella time trying to get falling snowflakes on my Xmas message. If successful I’ll report back with the code. Tis teh suxxor!

That’s gotta be a javascript application and as such probably won’t work. Now, if someone could tell me why the bog-standard Odeo podcasting won’t work, I’d be way ahead.
I was heartbroken about my stats until I realized that yeah, it IS Christmas and maybe people are busy…or saving reading blogs for a special Boxing Day treat!

@raincoaster
Actually although my stats were down I was pleasantly suprised that they did not plummet dramatically and that I did get some comments too. What surprised me is not that we bloggers did not get a gift from wordpress. What surprised me was that bloggers were still posting petty problems on the forum, rather than giving Mark and his family uninterrupted time together.
Setting aside VIP’s none of the wordpress.com bloggers are blogging here for money and to top it off we are blogging free of charge. I thought that folks would have waited until the 27th to ask for help on minor matters or used the FAQs blog and forum search box. Go figure? [she said scratching her head]
P.S. Not to worry about the music player thing. The boys in the backend are working on a new feature that isn’t quite ready yet.
